2. Information we collect

Website enquiries

Our enquiry forms collect the information you enter, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, the product or service you are interested in, requirements, notes and an optional promotional code. The form also records which Eyesec page the enquiry came from.

To protect the enquiry service from misuse, our server temporarily uses the submitting IP address to apply a ten-minute rate limit. The website also uses a hidden anti-spam field.

Website visits

Our hosting provider, Vercel, necessarily processes technical request information to deliver and secure the website. This can include an IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser or device information and diagnostic logs.

The Trustpilot header widget and review carousel load for every visitor. Trustpilot may receive information needed to deliver the relevant page and widget, including the page URL, referrer, IP address, browser or device details, language, platform and interaction information.

If you allow Analytics or Advertising services, the website loads Google Tag Manager and Google may receive technical request information such as your IP address, browser details and the page making the request. Google Analytics 4 measures website use only after Analytics consent. No Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags are currently active.

Customers and other contacts

Depending on your relationship with us, we may also collect your address, property and security requirements, quotations, appointment details, installation and system information, service and support records, communications, payment and transaction records, finance-related information where applicable, and feedback that you choose to provide.

Website delivery and security

To serve the site, diagnose faults, prevent misuse and enforce the short enquiry rate limit. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable website.

Consent-controlled Google services

To use Google Analytics 4 to understand and improve website use after you enable Analytics, and to preserve a separate choice for any future advertising technology. We rely on your consent. No Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags are currently active.

Submitting an enquiry is not consent to marketing. We use the supplied information to respond and to take the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take.

4. Enquiry delivery and recipients

Website forms send enquiry details through our server-side email provider, Resend. Standard enquiries are delivered to contact@eyesec.co.uk and mark@energyshielduk.co.uk. Enquiries selecting Technical Support are delivered to rox@energyshielduk.co.uk.

We may also share relevant personal information with service providers and professional advisers where this is necessary to operate Eyesec, deliver contracted services, comply with the law, establish or defend legal claims, or protect people and the business. We do not sell personal information.

5. Service providers

• Vercel hosts and delivers the website and its enquiry endpoint.
• Resend delivers submitted enquiries to the Eyesec recipients listed above.
• Trustpilot supplies the public review widgets shown to every visitor.
• Google supplies Google Tag Manager and, after Analytics consent, Google Analytics 4.
• Payment, finance, installation, support, accounting, legal and insurance providers may receive relevant information when needed for the service you request or our legal and business obligations.
• Regulators, courts and law-enforcement bodies may receive information where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

Links to external websites, including a direct link to Eyesec's Trustpilot profile, are governed by the external provider's own privacy information once you follow them.

6. International transfers

Vercel, Resend, Trustpilot, Google and their subprocessors may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where a restricted transfer is made, we require an appropriate legal safeguard such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or approved standard contractual clauses, together with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

7. How long we keep information

• Unsuccessful enquiries: 12 months after the last contact.
• Customer, installation and financial records: six years after the customer relationship ends, unless a longer or shorter period is required for a specific legal, warranty or claims reason.
• Rate-limit IP data: ten minutes in temporary server memory.
• Consent preference: six months on the device, unless you change it earlier or the consent version changes.

We securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements.

8. Cookies and consent choices

The site uses one first-party strictly necessary cookie, eyesec_consent_v1, to remember your Analytics and Advertising choices. Both optional categories are off by default. Google Analytics 4 is active only after Analytics consent; no Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags are currently active.

You can review or withdraw your choices at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer. Withdrawing Analytics or Advertising consent immediately changes the corresponding Google consent signals to denied. 9. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis. You also have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for legitimate purposes.

11. Complaints

Please contact us first if you have concerns so that we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
