This policy explains the cookies, browser storage and third-party services currently used on the Eyesec website. It distinguishes current services from advertising technologies that are not installed.
1. Your choices
Optional categories are off by default. On your first visit you can Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. Accept and Reject are presented as equal choices.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using . Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
2. Current technology table
| Name or service | Provider | Purpose and data | Category | When created or loaded | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
eyesec_consent_v1 | Eyesec, first party | Stores the consent version, choice timestamp and Analytics and Advertising choices. It contains no name, contact detail, tracking ID or other identifier. | Strictly necessary | Only after you accept, reject or save preferences | Six months, or until deleted or replaced by a new consent version |
| Trustpilot review widgets | Trustpilot A/S | Displays genuine customer reviews and helps visitors assess Eyesec's credibility. Requests may include the page and widget viewed, referrer, IP address, browser or device details, language, platform and interaction information. | External review service | Loaded for every visitor on pages containing a Trustpilot widget | No website-managed Trustpilot cookie was observed during our audit. Trustpilot controls its external service and any information it receives under its own policies. |
Google Tag ManagerGTM-535XVMG5 | Google LLC | Delivers consent-controlled Google tags. The request can disclose technical data such as IP address, browser details, page URL and referrer. | Analytics and/or Advertising | Only after Analytics or Advertising consent is granted | Tag Manager does not itself set a browser cookie. |
Google Analytics 4G-LXY005HQ9B_ga_ga_LXY005HQ9B | Google LLC | Measures website use, such as pages viewed, visits, approximate location and browser or device information, so we can understand and improve the website. | Analytics | Only after Analytics consent is granted | The normal maximum lifetime for both cookies is two years. They may expire sooner if you withdraw consent or delete them. |
3. Strictly necessary preference cookie
The eyesec_consent_v1 cookie is required to remember and respect your privacy choice. It uses the Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes, applies across this website and expires after six months. Because it is used to provide the privacy control you request, it is always enabled.
If the cookie is absent, expired, malformed or belongs to an older consent version, optional categories return to off and the website asks you to choose again.
4. Trustpilot reviews
The original Trustpilot header widget and review carousel load for every visitor as the website's public review service. Trustpilot receives the browser and network information needed to deliver those widgets. We use the service to display genuine customer reviews and help visitors assess Eyesec's credibility.
No website-managed Trustpilot cookie was observed during our previous audit, but Trustpilot remains an external provider with its own processing and policies. If its widget cannot load, the website shows a compact link to Eyesec's Trustpilot profile instead.
5. Analytics and advertising
Google Tag Manager is integrated using Basic Consent Mode. Before a choice, all four Google consent signals are set locally to denied and no request is made to Google.
Analytics consent grants only analytics_storage. Advertising consent grants ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Granting either category loads the Tag Manager container once. Withdrawing a category immediately updates its signals to denied.
Google Analytics 4 is delivered through Tag Manager and becomes active only after Analytics consent. Advertising consent is available for future Google Ads measurement or remarketing, but no Google Ads conversion, remarketing, enhanced-conversion or Meta Pixel tags are currently active.
6. Technologies that are not browser cookies
Vercel necessarily receives web requests to host and secure the site. When you submit an enquiry, the form sends the information you enter to the Eyesec server endpoint and Resend delivers it to the relevant Eyesec inbox. The endpoint temporarily uses the submitting IP address in server memory for a ten-minute rate limit. These processes do not depend on optional cookie consent because they provide website hosting, security and the enquiry service you request.
The site's DM Sans and Manrope font files are hosted by Eyesec. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts.
7. Browser controls
You can also delete cookies using your browser settings. If you delete the Eyesec preference cookie, the consent banner will appear again on your next visit. Blocking all cookies may prevent the site from remembering your choice.
